Our rear diffuser specifically designed for the CLS 63 Biturbo is the companion component and perfect addition to our 3-piece carbon front splitter.

It visually enhances the rear of the CLS, acts as a functional component of the vehicles exterior in order to decrease drag and increases rear down force. This is accomplished by improving the underbody airflow and allowing for a smooth transition to ambient air when the vehicle is at speed.

As with the front splitter, our proprietary rear diffuser was designed and engineered in-house; is manufactured using the same high quality prepreg carbon fiber and is a quick and easy install that requires no modifications to the CLS’s rear bumper.

The center section of the diffuser also accepts the EU third brake light or may also be removed and a mesh grill insert installed for an even more customized look. The rear diffuser also fits with the OEM exhaust tips

What exactly is prepreg carbon fiber?

•  Prepreg is widely known as the finest process in carbon fiber manufacturing and has been used for aerospace and military applications because of its superior consistency in weight, thickness, fitment, resin, carbon layout, and overall quality. 
•    Lower cost carbon fiber uses a wet-layup method which results in components of inferior, strength, appearance and overall quality. To create prepreg, fiber is pre-impregnated (hence the name) with resin at a production facility, rolled on spools, and frozen to prevent the resin from curing prematurely. This material is then cut and hand laid into a mold to the proper thickness and cured at strictly controlled temperatures. This process creates a laminate with a precisely controlled resin volume and in turn is 20-30% stiffer and stronger than an equivalent thickness wet laminate process. 
•   The pre-impregnated (prepreg) fiber method creates stiffer, stronger laminates with controllable, predictable results and the result is a consistent, tight fiber weave which not only looks amazing, but adds strength.  This ensures our customers receive components which not only look good on the vehicle standing still, but won’t crack, warp, fall off or fade when mounted to the exterior of their vehicle after six months or while driving at high speed.

RENNtech strives to deliver the highest quality carbon fiber products in the industry. All of our designs are unique and fully developed in house by our skilled engineers and designers. These products can be very complex and are handcrafted utilizing the pre-preg manufacturing process, making each product truly unique. Therefore, a few minor inconsistencies and differences between parts is possible. Whether it’s a small deviation in the weave layup or slight inconsistency in the finish, this is completely normal in carbon fiber manufacturing because of the nature of the material and production process. Any parts with more noticeable areas of concern are scrapped entirely and never offered to our highly discerning clientele.
